Tender for franchise waste collection services for Kitwe City Council

Kitwe City Council (KCC) is a Local Authority duly established under the Local Government Act No. 2 of 2020 of the Laws of Zambia, with its registered office at Civic Centre, Nsansa Lane, Kitwe, Zambia. KCC now invites Expressions of Interest for the provision of franchise waste collection services across twelve designated Waste Management Districts (WMDs) covering central Kitwe, Nkana East, Riverside, Bupe Ward and Itimpi Ward.

Participation in this procurement is limited to citizen bidders; local bidders will be considered only under the circumstances provided for under Section 39(2) of the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020. Bidding will be conducted using Open National Bidding (OBN) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations of 2022, and is open to all eligible bidders that meet the minimum qualifications. Prospective bidders should access the ZPPA e-GP system and ensure they are registered to participate; a site visit will be held on 24 September 2026, and the last date for requesting clarifications is 1 October 2026.

Bids should be clearly marked with the Project Title, addressed to the Town Clerk, Kitwe City Council, and submitted through the ZPPA e-GP platform on or before Tuesday, 17 October 2026 at 16:00 hours local time. Hard copies will not be accepted.
