Tender for upgrade of 4 hand pumped boreholes to solar powered water scheme (REGROW Project) for Norwegian Church Aid / DanChurchAid (NCA-DCA)
Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and DanChurchAid (DCA) have been active in Zambia for over two decades, and in 2011 formalized their collaboration through a Joint Country Programme (JCP). Both are faith-based organizations committed to promoting global justice and providing humanitarian and development assistance to vulnerable populations regardless of creed, race, political affiliation or religious background, spanning emergency relief, long-term community development and advocacy addressing structural causes of poverty and inequality.
As part of their ongoing commitment to improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in underserved communities, NCA-DCA plans to upgrade four (4) existing hand-pumped boreholes into solar powered mechanized water supply systems across Gwembe, Kazungula and Chifunabuli Districts under the REGROW Project. These upgrades aim to enhance the reliability, efficiency and sustainability of water supply systems to meet growing domestic, sanitation and productive water needs and small-scale irrigation, contributing to improved public health, increased access to safe water, and strengthened community-based water management.
