Tender for rehabilitation of water-borne toilets under the AIM Zambia Project for Keepers Zambia Foundation
Keepers Zambia Foundation (KZF), in partnership with People In Need (PIN) and with financial support from CELIM, is implementing the Integrated Action for Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change on the Most Vulnerable Communities in Zambia (AIM Zambia) project, supporting the Government of Zambia’s response to El Nino-induced drought through an integrated approach covering Agriculture and Food Security, Health and Nutrition, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). As part of its WASH interventions, the project will rehabilitate four water-borne toilets: Kasenga Girls Secondary School (Namwala District), Kalomo Town Market (Kalomo District), Mutanda Rural Health Centre (Shangombo District), and the mother-shelter at Sikongo Mini Hospital (Sikongo District).
The work involves rehabilitating existing defunct water-borne toilets; since damage differs by site, bidders must undertake a mandatory site visit for each lot they intend to bid for and prepare their own comprehensive costed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on actual site conditions, covering civil/structural components, architectural finishes, plumbing and sanitation systems, applicable mechanical/electrical installations, and accessibility features for persons with disabilities. Bidders must submit company registration (PACRA), a valid NCC Certificate, ZPPA Registration, a valid Tax Clearance Certificate, TPIN, Workers Compensation Certificate, EIZ Licence, company profile, latest 3 months’ bank statements, method statement, work plan and Gantt chart, personnel list and qualifications, evidence of similar works, and a list of equipment.
Bids must remain valid for 60 days, be submitted in English, and only bidders who attend the mandatory site visit and sign the attendance register are eligible to submit.
